Reception

We have held a series of 4 workshops for our new Reception parents. The workshops have been very popular! Here is some of the feedback from parents:

" Really beneficial. Very useful to meet the teachers, practitioners, parents and children. A great transition process from Nursery to school. Also, fun and enjoyable."

"Really useful, especially to understand how you teach children. Encouraging to see the school being proactive in working with parents."

"It was fantastic. Thank you!"

"It was great to learn that learning is fun!"

"I thought the transition workshops were a great overview. Met my needs."

If you missed the workshops, you can print out the handouts below or, alternatively, come and see a member of the Reception Team for copies.

Literacy Fayre
Our Literacy Fayre 2012 was very well received, with 100% of parents saying how useful they found the presentations and the opportunity to view VCOP (Vocabulary, Connectives, Openers and Punctuation) in practice in the classrooms.  For those parents unable to attend, here are the presentations and resources used.
