Greenleaf Primary School Admissions

This is not dealt with by Greenleaf, but by Waltham Forest Education Department. A place at Greenleaf Nursery DOES NOT guarantee a place at Greenleaf Primary School.

Applying for a Reception place for September 2018

Rec 1

The closing date for applications is 15 January 2018.

If your child was born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014 they are due to start in the Reception class at a primary school from September 2018.

You must apply for a Reception class for your child even if they attend a school nursery or have an older brother or sister at your preferred school.  If your child currently attends a nursery attached to a school this does not give them any priority for a place in Reception at that school.

The eAdmissions website for online applications opens on 1 September and the closing date for applications is 15 January 2018.

The booklet Starting Primary School 2018  (click to download) contains all the information you need to know about applying for a Reception class place, including:

    • arrangements for selecting the pupils who apply
    • our oversubscription criteria (ie. how places are offered if there are more applicants than places)
    • an explanation of the process you need to follow to apply for a place at Greenleaf for your child.

If your child attends a nursery (either attached to a school or independent) a copy of the booklet will be sent home with your child. If your child does not attend nursery or you do not receive a copy, you will be able to download it via the link above or from the Waltham Forest website in September www.walthamforest.gov.uk

Admissions for Older Children

Families with older children, who arrive new to the area, must also apply directly to the Local Authority - contact details above.
